I felt immediately drawn into this story and by the time I reached the end of the 'first look' knew that I wanted to use my points to make sure I receive a copy! I haven't read any of the author's previous novels but I like her writing style and think this is a YA novel which will appeal to someone who is a few decades older than her target audience!
As for the cover, I don't actively dislike it but it wouldn't immediately attract my attention in a bookshop.
