I loved this book but there are some things that i thought could’ve been better.
First of all I loved the diversity of the main character and her love interest and I also loved her writing style because this book was such an easy read and i finished it in approximately 3 days but some things in the storyline frustrated me about this book.
First of all, Lucas investigation was disappointing. I was really looking forward to a whole teenager solves this case and reveals the secret of this island/town but nothing happened. Everything that Luca found out from her investigating wasn’t anything about Whitney’s murder but something about her personal live that wasn’t told to Luca. The betrayal part of the story was a little bit better but sometimes i thought that was lacking too.
Now for the last point. The ending was frustrating and disappointing. It annoyed me that it was never revealed that it was Maddison who killed Whitney and Luca just left everyone believing it was Isaac, before taking of and leaving Paaris.
I think if a second book was written and Maddison gets what she deserves and we follow Luca’s life outside of her Island then maybe this book would be less frustrating.
