the first half of the book i have to admit was a bit boring and long in a way. however the ending served and was really iconic and i loved the little twist even though I kinda saw it coming.. I would love to see more of what the author is preparing for other books and will definitely read her other books! also there were lots of questions i had after the ending and it’s killing me!! i loved the reputation and representation and the fact that i got to see a black, plus size queer main character as I can rarely find books like that. Overall I would say you should definitely give this a read if you’re into ya mystery especially if you liked any of karen mcmanus’ books or “we were liars” as it gave me very similar vibes. Additionally i believe this is the perfect summer read so make sure to grab this for this summer! I also met the author a few days ago and she was lovely!
