A fantastic read for any fan of a good murder mystery. The author has written the characters with great consideration of the issues facing people with grief. Luca is a very well written character and her issues with mental illness are dealt with using great care and consideration. The compassionate way that Luca is brought to life on the page makes the reader feel the sympathy for her which may have been missing.
The murder mystery within the book is clever and full of red herrings which make for a great read. The relationships within the book add to the drama of the story. Whitney's murder throws the characters into disarray, which leaves them not knowing who to trust.
The relationship between Luca and Naomi is central to the plot and is so well written that the reader is carried along with the emotion and feels invested in Luca's life and the struggles she is trying to overcome.
