I really enjoyed this book. The representation of characters with mental illnesses, LGBTQ+ Rep and WOC's are always great to see in literature. The story follows a girl who lives on an island which to people on the outside seems like paradise but in reality is filled with dead women and a curse. Luca is determined to find out what is happening in her home and uncover the truth behind the curse, when suddenly her sister turns up dead and she feels all alone, except for new girl Naoime who understands everything Luca is going through. Their chemistry was electric and passionate. Luca struggles to uncover anything relevant to the curse until she discovers secrets she wishes she never did. The style of writing was great and easy to read without being to slow or too fast. The plot was exciting and keeps you on your toes throughout this brilliant read!
