This book had a lot of drama, a lot of stress and a lot of tension. I had a lot of empathy for the different characters and couldn’t really imagine how Luca would feel with the loss of her sister. It was in some ways a typical young adult book in the fact there was a lot of chaos, a lot of people discovering themselves, a lot of teenage heartache and unnecessary problems.

I liked that it wasn’t easy to guess what had happened to the sister and who was responsible for it. I think it is rare that this the case in books so that was good.

I also liked the diversity/representation angle with the main character being gay. I think for kids growing up it is so important to have that kind of representation to realise that it not ok that all kinds of media including literature define certain people as main character material and everyone else is just a side part.
