Absolutely amazing! Parris island is where the book is set, an exotic escape filled with warmth. One could only dream to live in such places, yet Luca seems to disagree. Paris is home to many local killers, murders occurring ever so often. It starts to get personal when Luca has to live with the fact her sister, Whitney, was now the latest victim. “Bad things happen here” most certainly has an eerie tension throughout the book, each page creating a level of suspense. There are twists in this book which make you want to keep going on, this book having this almost captivating atmosphere around it.
The characters are definitely one of the pros, Luca being such a relatable and comforting character who gives a real sense of strength, both physically and mentally. Her spirit is always high no matter what comes along her way, which I adore! This book has a real sense of talent, the plot being soo addictive. It had me on the edge with each page, it being such an amazing thrill! Her determination towards her work is incredible, and I truly believe her sister Whitney would’ve been proud.
Overall this book is highly addictive and contains many twists which urge you to move along. It would definitely be a book I recommend!
