Wow. I don’t know what to say here but I read this book in 8.5 hrs. Totally binged it and couldn’t put it down, I felt like I was addicted.
I was slightly confused with the main character Luca at first and didn’t realise she was a character of colour or a lesbian. I don’t know if I missed that somewhere but a lot made sense once I knew this.
The book has me hooked from the first chapter and the short chapters made the book quite fast paced. Luca is such an unlucky character but the twist at the end, I did not see coming - I’d never have guessed it. I felt for Luca throughout the book for multiple reasons and I can imagine how news travel fast in such a small island so can be hard to keep your feelings to yourself. I know it must've been hard to keep under wraps that she was trying to find her sisters killer.
Definitely a fast-paced thriller with a lot packed into it. Thank you to @readersfirst for sending me this copy.
