Ballet Besties is a lovely book especially for all those young aspiring ballet dancers who look forward to going to their classes.
The problem is that Yara’s ballet school, Shimmer and Shine, is in danger of closing due to financial problems so she decides to get together with her friends and try to save the day.
Their plan is to put on a special performance of sleeping beauty but time is not on their side so they they have to put in extra time practising and things do not alway go to plan.
The book has just over 200 pages in the 15 chapters so would make an ideal bedtime story book.
It’s very nicely illustrated throughout with black and white sketches and even has a glossary of terms for those children who are perhaps considering ballet classes but don’t know what all the moves are called.
My only criticism is that it could have been printed on better quality paper for the price.
