This is a lovely book for young readers. A story of friendship and team spirit. The cover image is appealing and I like that the book is scattered with illustrations too - making it not too out-facing for new readers. The chapters are a good size too.
I notice on the back that it is part of a series; that's always popular with young readers. And I love the last few pages - a glossary of ballet terms, illustrations of basic ballet positions, a summary of Sleeping Beauty and a recipe - little touches like that makes books and reading more special and enhance the experience.
I think it's the sort of book children would pass on to each other and talk about with friends.
I like (and I'm sure young dancers would too) that it is written by a ballet dancer - her passion shines through and I'm sure her own experiences play a part in the story. .............
