In Ballet Besties the main character is a young girl named Yara who is mad about Ballet. She has recently started at a new Ballet school and she is enjoying her lessons and making new friends. When she overhears a conversation about the Ballet school closing down, Yara decides to change this.
The Ballet school belongs to a lady, Dame Clougston-Wilmott, who used to be a dancer herself until she had an accident and could not dance any more. While she was on a cruise, her son and his friend Miss Diamond, who is the Ballet school teacher, decided to re-open his mother`s old Ballet studio so that Miss Diamond could run her classes from there. The lady was not happy when she came back from her cruise and found out what her son had done.
Yara decides to show this lady how good the class is and try to make the lady interested in Ballet again. Yara and her class put on a show for the public and hope that the lady turns up to see it and changes her mind.
