I enjoyed reading this book although it is meant for somebody 60 years younger than me.
Yara is a young ballet obsessed girl who has had lots of changes in her young life. She loves her new ballet school but learns that her lessons are threatened due to the closure of the school. She decides to persuade her ballet teacher and fellow pupils to put on a show of Sleeping Beauty hoping that this will persuade Mrs C to allow the ballet school to remain in its present premises.
There are lots of learning points in this book for aspiring ballet dancers - not to neglect normal school work, supportive parents, trust and friendship, inclusivity. The book is well written (just a couple of typos!) and the illustrations are good.
The glossary of ballet terms, diagrams of positions and other annexes at the back are very useful for future reference purposes. The cover is bright and eye catching.
