What I like about this book is the setting and also the characters. What an awful place to live where nature is locked out.
Kayla is a likeable main character. She is not perfect and not being able to full control her rare winged pangron causes problems. Each of the first three chapters is about the main characters so you find out more about them. Rustus and Alethea both sound like interesting companions on an adventure where each of them has a quest that requires travelling across Beastlands.
I am so looking forward to reading more about Kayla, Rustus and Alethea and to find out if they succeed in their quests!
