Not the most original premise (in all fairness it's incredibly challenging to be 'original' at this point after decades of YA fantasy have come out), but the world-building (always an important aspect of any YA fantasy) is charming nevertheless. Right off the bat, it seems quite fast-paced, so looks likely to be a fun read in its complete version.
