I’ve not come across Jess French before but this books seems like it will be exciting and enjoyable.
It’s straight in with the action, which is good for the target audience (8-12 years) to get them immediately involved in the story.
The cover art is typical of books for that age range and gender neutral. I can see lots of kids enjoying this book
