Children enjoyed reading this book and they were mesmerised by the story.This book was really well written and pulled you in from the very beginning. The three main character's were well written and all are a little outcast from their own 'land's'. The descriptions of their land's and the badland's outside their 'safe land's was really descriptive and I loved the language used to name things. The three separate line's of stories from the three main character's before they meet up in the badland's were really good and most chapter's ended on a bit of a cliffhanger ! The three main character's meet up in the badland's and although want different thing's do end up working together to get what they need and want. I don't want to give too much away ! The person that help's them get to the bottom of the frozen mountain is very eccentric and a fantastic character. They really liked the mode of transport and the description of the inside is amazing ! An exemplary read
