The story is based on an island,which has different districts and lots of different beasts.I loved the description of all the beast and imagined them.Nice surprise to see the beasts in pictures at the back of the book.
The main characters in the story are Kayla, Rustus and Alethea.

Rustus has been cast out because he failed his initiation.
