I read this book, in parts, along with my 11 year old son. He loves a good book!
He enjoys a whole range of genres when it comes to books, and will happily try almost any book I pass his way.
He got fully involved with this book, he really enjoyed the characters and had said that they helped bring the story to life. For the parts that I read, I really enjoyed the writing, and thought it was very well done for the age group it is intended, and although my son may have been a little too old for the book, he was enthralled by the characters and the storyline.
We both agreed that the beasts were well written and helped build a picture in your imagination, and added to the adventure of the book.
I liked how much this book had captured his imagination, and encouraged him to pick up similar books of this genre. He has also agreed to pass this book onto his cousin because he enjoyed it so much!
