I thought, here we go, a young adults fantasy book, that looks like it's set up for a series to follow, and I am going to enjoy this. BUT, I was bitterly let down. I think even if I was mid teens I would find the middle section of this book boring. There was way too much waffling half way though. I was thinking to myself, come on! Let's get our butts to Frostfall Mountain, let's not sit here and discuss the ins and outs of all the incredible beasts that are onboard this wacky contraption. Also I'm pretty sure one of the three main characters has just contracted a deadly disease which needs some immediate attention. I understand that the author was trying to build some tension, but it just fell flat for me. I was disappointed and felt let down, however that said, the first half of the book was great! There will be someone who will love this more than me I'm sure.
