What a breath of Fresh Air.
From my First impression I wrote:
"I do enjoy reading Fantasy Books, and my first impressions of this one is no different.
The three main characters, Kayla, Alethea and Rustus appearing from slightly different backgrounds offer different attributes to the scene. This on the face of it has a different feel to other Fantasy Books I have read but has a refreshing feel about it."
I certainly enjoyed reading it and it starts as you imagine with three very different characters but each learning from different circumstances to trust each other and to become firm friends.
Although the book finishes in one aspect on a knife edge it does lend itself immediately onto a sequel which is mentioned at the back of the book.
I cannot wait to read the sequel as I found the book, although written as a Fantasy one, also has a real feel about it.
