Poignant is not a word you usually use to describe a story about murder, but the authors descriptions are incredibly poignant. Naomi is blind and goes through the motions of saying “i’m Fine” to people she meets, when in her head she says “i Want to kill myself”. Naomi is blind, but the people she speaks with are blind to her true emotions. Perhaps blindness will be a key theme in this novel. This is a murder story and we learn that 20 years ago a girl called Hayley was killed and now another girl is dead. Have people been blind to clues and what is the secret Naomi’s sister has been keeping all these years? I can’t wait to find out!
