What a book! Everything from the characters to the plot (apart from the ending!) was incredible. I was completely gripped and devoured this book in just over a day. Jordan creates tension and excitement at every turn. Naomi, the main character, felt so real. Her struggles, her pain and her strength really resonated with me and I think Jordan also did an incredible job of describing what it's like to be blind. It impressed me that he did this by showing the differences in Naomi's everyday life which was more subtle and lacked the clumsiness that can sometimes occur when writing about disability. Right from the start, I was behind Naomi and every injustice she received felt like a blow - some incredible storytelling! If it wasn't for the slightly frustrating ending I would have given the book 5 stars - I just think Naomi deserved so much more than that!
