It is one of the most fascinating books I've read in a long time. Duende being a magical world discovered by accident. I love the underlying premise that as any magic, there's always a cost. For example on entering this land, your memory is cleared and as you travel through it, if you don't allow yourself to be mesmerised, you notice moods and people's behaviours not only changing but becoming altered.
I was truly hooked on this land and felt throughout affected by the writing, rushing to finish reading the book, at the same time savoring it.
With people trying to escape our planet, to go to Mars or Moon, I love the idea that we find ourselves in a magical spot so close to us. I believe I will be reading more books by this author soon.
