I love the cover of this book, that is initially what caught my attention. The lovely shades of colours and simple yet mysterious cover design.
Upon reading the blurb I was really excited to dive into the story and go on an adventure. However, I just could not get into the story and at first hoped it was just a slow start and the pace would pick up. But it never happened for me unfortunately.
I dislike not finishing a book so I forced myself to carry on and read it, all the while hoping I would find it more interesting and understand, I did like the plot of the story but it didn't have a major crime plot as I initially thought it would have and so the lack of a solid crime had me struggling to understand what was going on.
