Beneath the world, a sea is the newest release from scifi author Chris Beckett. As a fan of his Dark Eden series I was incredibly excited to try his newest release, but whilst Dark Eden was phenomenally unique and very eerily clever, Beneath the world, a sea is somehow less so. I certainly didn’t enjoy it as much as I did Dark Eden and I don’t think I’d be very interested in reading any further books that might follow this one.
On the whole, the writing is the quintessential Beckett style and gripping, but the story for me was lacking.
