So far, from the sneak peek of Beneath The World, A Sea, I am invested. Although I have only read a small amount of this book, I am liking it very much. It was such thorough, powerful and effective descriptions of the characters, places and the setting. It makes me feel as though I am right there in the book. It creates an extremely vivid portrait of what's happening in my mind. I love the description of Palido right at the beginning of Chapter 1. I feel like he is a mysterious, scary and very dodgy character. The description given of him is absolutely mind-blowing. It is all very cohesive. Additionally, the description of Palido gives an element of horror and anticipation. In the preview, the storytelling, the story itself so far and the delivery is very strong. I think that the author is very talented and I see this book becoming a best-seller and having a lot of attention on it.
