I enjoyed the sample of Best of Friends, however, for me personally I feel as though it’s going to be too deep for me to enjoy. If you’re looking a well articulated read that journeys through the depths of friendship then this is absolutely for you. Kamila Shamsie has a way of writing which is compelling, drawing you in to wanting more.
I must also admit, I’m a big cover buyer and this unfortunately does do enough for me to see from afar in a library or bookshop. However, I can see what the author was going for with the design and I think it matches the book perfectly now that I’ve read the sample and blurb.
