This novel is a great book for those adolescents coming of age and the changes they go through physically and mentally. It would also be good for parents of adolescents who are trying to remember how it felt to be that age and support their own children.
The story is very interesting from the start and goes straight into the story and the relationship between Zhara and Maryam.
Quickly strains in the relationship begin to show and we question whether the girls still tell each other the truth or their relationship has changed. It seems as though Zhara may have a crush on Maryam.
