I found the concept of this novel incredibly interesting, which is why I entered the draw. When first reading the book, I was excited and couldn't wait to see how events would play out - unfortunately they played out extremely slowly - to the point where I lost any motivation to finish the book. Whether it was the writing style or the way in which the book was structured, it was simply unable to hold my attention - though, I hoped somewhere along the line it would improve and perhaps come to a climax it did not - at least not anytime soon. Maybe it was my own preferences, as I personally was interested in seeing how the political aspect in the book impacted with the two main character's lives, and I felt though the aspect was present, most of the beginning of the book was about their typical lives as teenage girls in Pakistan - which again did not engage me.
