the style of writing did not pull me in. i only finished this book so i could write a fair review on it.
i didn't get drawn into the characters neither into the countries that it was set which was a real shame as i really wanted to feel part of it.
basically two girls grow up in Pakistan, go to school together and both have important parents in the world at that time.
they both for different reasons end up spending the rest of their childhood growing up in London even though we dont read about this. the story jumps from them being young to then being in their 40's and living in London.
i was under the impression it was a book about enduring friendship which i suppose it was considering they still had a relationship in their 40's but i felt very much unconnected from the plot and all the main characters.
i feel that this could of been so much more than what is what.
what a shame
