I really enjoyed this book. It is the first book that I have read set (partly) in Pakistan and I love reading about different countries and cultures. I felt completely immersed whilst reading this and could see and smell and hear the bustling city and really felt like I was there in the story.
I absolutely loved the friendship portrayed in this book, all of the ups and downs.
This book covered some tough topics and I thought it did so really well.
It was beautifully written and you couldn’t help but love the characters and root for them as you followed the story. The book was set over quite a long period so you really saw how their lives changed and how their relationships developed and changed. For better and for worse.
This was easily a five star book for me, and I would definitely 100% recommend it to anyone who enjoys character driven books
