Writer has chosen the words very carefully and beautifully. I could feel myself among the friends and their lives.Mariam and Zahra ,two friends from two completely different backgrounds and lives. Story starts when they were 14 years old and how the characters evolve with time and the changes that bring gaps in their friendship. I enjoyed reading this book as it was a light read with beautiful carving of the words, characters and their proximity. Kamila has done justice with her words and she has not disappointed her readers by writing another wholesome novel. She has successfully described the scenario of politically influenced lives of people in Pakistan and the ordinary people living there. The start of story takes us to era of 80s and make our way to today's times. Along the way what changes the friendship goes through is explained in an interesting way. I recommend this book to readers who like to read a light but equally interesting book. Kamila has done her wonder.
