I was super excited to see this book come up on here because I immediately felt intrigued by it.
First of all I found the characters to be really engaging and I really enjoyed seeing how they developed over the course of the novel. I think they’ve been thought out really well and really well detailed too which helps the reader follow their progression over the course of the novel.
I also really enjoy the themes at the heart of that novel: friendship, loyalty, disloyalty and betrayal. It’s all happening - let’s face it.
I think the structure of the novel is also really really clever. I like to see how they change over time and how the past and present are weaved together. I think as a reader, it really gives us the opportunity to track the characters and build our own impressions of them and loyalties ourselves.
All in all, a great read with much potential.
