Family secrets . . . ?
'Daddy, there's a man in our room', so say the twins. Are they telling the truth, was it a dream, are they attention seeking?
It is obvious there are issues within the family - an overbearing mother-in-law, lack of communication, an inability to talk to each other, tension just being in the same room and the family secrets - 'it is happening again'.
The story is being narrated from two points of view - by Alfie the father and Julia his sister-in-law, which will allow the story to reveal itself slowly and dramatically, each narrator seeing the story differently.
As I enjoy mystery stories I am intrigued by what I have read so far and would like to read more - what has really happened with the family and what is happening again?
. . . . .
To my mind the book cover is uninspiring and appears to be unfinished, merely one artists suggestion as part of the final design. If I was to see this book on display in a bookshop I would pass it by, something else would grab my attention instead
