Having read the first few pages, this has definitely intrigued me. I mean, the cover alone would have made me want to pick it up, but reading the first few pages made me want to even more. Apparently it's for fans of literary horror like The Loney (by Andrew Michael Hurley) or Pine (by Francine Toon), and though I wasn't a huge fan of The Loney, I loved Pine.

So far, my impressions are that this is creepy - it has creepy children, and the mysterious Black Mamba, a snake friend that only they can see. It's also a story about grief, from what I can gather, so that also makes me want to read more.
