The author of this book, for me, has a good balance of descriptive prose without too much needly waffle or pretentious wording.
The opening scenes had a sinister feel and peaked my interest before we were swiftly moved forward in time to get to know our characters and their background a bit more. I liked the pace of this, and the easy but engaging writing style and am intrigued to read on.
