Oh my goodness, what an incredible opening chapter, I am already hooked! I can’t decide which characters I’m most intrigued to learn more about - The twins Sylvia and Cassia, their ‘imaginary friend’ Black Mamba or their lost mother and her twin. From Julia’s reaction both to the house itself and to the mention of a ‘’man in our room” it’s clear something went on there years ago, and what a great hook to kick the story off with.
