Wow! What a way to draw the reader in.

I didn’t know what to make of the blurb and I’ve never heard of the ( ‘if you are a fan of’ ) authors mentioned. The genre is not one that I am normally that fascinated by. However from the moment I started reading I found myself absolutely fascinated. Alfie is caring for his young twin daughters following the recent death of his wife. In an ‘ accident’ - possibly. They have been having strange ‘dreams’ and now have an imaginary friend. There is an impossible mother-in-law, who may or may not turn out to be as awful as she is painted. Alfie has called in his sister-in-law, a therapist and twin of his late wife. The blurb gives the takeaway about the attraction between them but this could go any which way. And besides, this has happened before…
Absolutely stunning start to this novel and I cannot wait to read more.
