This is such an unsettling chiller. But it has so much depth with various storylines running throughout the entire book. Covering grief, guilt, childhood trauma & of course deep seated fear. The paranormal element & the involvement of the twins is exceptionally creepy. I found these parts of the book very unsettling & dark. I liked but also didn’t like (I know, I know) the relationship between dad & aunt. I’m aware it happens in the real world but given the major challenges that dad is facing; I’m just not sure about it over all.
All in all I did enjoy this one. I highly recommend to those who enjoy a paranormal chiller/horror - similar to Stephen King paranormal reads.
The cover is a perfect match to what lies beneath. I would definitely read more of this author and I’m really interested to see what comes next. A good, creepy read perfect for the upcoming spooky season!
