I really enjoyed this book, more than I thought I would do. The plot was well crafted and the book was well paced overall. I felt it explored interesting themes and did it in a way that could have easily become predictable and dull, but this was not the case. The premise was excellent and the story just about delivered on it.
I would have liked to have seen a little more depth to some of the characters; a little more expansive view of their worlds. However, the tightness of view was appropriate to the storyline and didn't negatively impact on the overall impression of the book. Simply that I feel it diluted the impact of some aspects of the plot which could have been otherwise enhanced.
I liked the cover imagery, as well as the textual imagery employed throughout the novel. The font and layout worked with the story premise. I will look out for further titles by this author for sure.
