I wasn't sure what to expect from this book, just based on the cover it seemed to lack some kind of explanation of what it would be about. I found the book a little confusing, as it centered on a man, Alfie and his sister-in-law, Julia. Julia was a twin, her twin Pippa, was married to Alfie and they had twin daughters. But Pippa had an accident and died, so the story focused on the rest of the family, this is where Black Mamba came into it, as the children seemed fixated on him. The writing was a little mixed up as it kept going from Alfie's perspective then to Julia's, it did not seem to flow very well at all and ended up confusing who he was supposed to be writing about. I felt it was supposed to be some kind of supernatural book, and the story was a little hit and miss, it could have been better thought out. I think the ending was a bit strange but had guessed what it would have been.
