I found this book rather confusing. Based on the Black Mamba title I somehow expected more. I was waiting for something to happen most of the read. I thought that if I kept waiting and reading some major event would happen any moment. So I kept waiting. However it was the second half of the book before it really burst into life.
And even then burst is hardly the word!
The girls thinking Black Mamba was real is interesting enough and the interaction with their mother’s sister brought a love interest. Although that was very low key until later in the book.
And I did not like the ending. I am unsure what happened to the family and how they are likely to live the rest of their lives.
Although perhaps this is all me! I tend to like books that move the story on faster. People generally live their life at such a fast pace these days that perhaps it’s a good thing to slow down and books are the same.
But this was not my type of book!
