I saw quite a few good reviews for this one so I ended up picking it up quickly, and I can understand why they exist.
I devoured Black Mamba in a day as I just couldn't put it down. Its not a completely fast paced book, but it's gripping, chilling and has you hooked throughout. The suspense and mystery is built up nicely, but also the emotions are really touched upon. I felt like I got to know Pippa quite well, and could understand the impact she had had on all of her family.
I love how this book explores grief from different perspectives and coping mechanisms that we all may or may not present with.
The paranormal type aspects of this book are a story well told and introduced in a very clever way.
For a debut novel, this is a really good one. I'll look forward to reading more of this authors work in the future. I will also be highly recommending Black Mamba to many people.
