To begin with, I was really looking forward to this one because it sounded so chilling and so gripping. I was thrilled to receive a copy of it.
The cover is striking black and white and the title immediately grabs your attention.
Overall the plot was really well written and really carried the story well. I didn’t know what to expect from this author as I didn’t know them but I’m glad to have had the experience of reading William Friend for sure.
I did like the characters and felt that they too were developed really well. I particularly liked the children and the fact that the narrative was built around those.
Overall, a really enjoyable read by a new and thrilling writer who I can’t wait to see and experience more of.
