I loved the opening chapter with its growing sense of tension and menace. I like the fact the person Affi presumed was a baddie turned out to be something different but then the author did the same trick, but the opposite way, a bit later. I like the Scottish setting and I'd look forward to witnessing more of the partnership between the two police officers.
