The first thoughts I had was: is this based on the film, is this an extension of def leopards song... I am pleased to say it is neither!
The cover is beautiful, eye catching and plenty of colours. The title in bold made me want to read it. I love all crime novels.
The history of Lancaster books is not disappointing so I had high expectations and I wasn't disappointed.
Trafficking is a real and relevant threat so the book was easily imaginable. The way affi is described is brilliant, and the fact she managed once to get away was intriguing. I was hooked, max clung on to the case and it has left me wanting more and more. The books are so effortlessly easy to follow and the writing is inspired.
I genuinely can't wait to finish this book and to see if there will be future books for max!
