Very promising First Look. The prologue vividly sets the scene and I really felt Alfie’s terror on the train and then on her training run. I love the typical Scottish banter between the two detectives. I am a big fan of Val McDermid, James Oswald and Ian Rankin and will now add Neil Lancaster (and Marion Todd) to my reading list.
