Blood Runs Cold is a truly gripping page turner. I haven’t read any others in the DS Max Craigie series, which I was a little worried about but this reads brilliantly as a stand alone. If anything it’s enticed me to look more into the series and go back and read more and immerse myself into more of the horrifying crimes Max and his team have solved.
This book pairs the truly horrifying world of trafficking with disturbing police corruption, and delivers an unputdownable story - I’d definitely recommend.
