This is the first book that I have read by this author. This is the fourth in the series and to be honest I think although not necessary I would have chosen to read the first three beforehand. I feel that I would have known the background of the characters better and was always conscious that I might have missed something. However I did enjoy the book and the short chapters had me reading quickly and I needed to know the outcome. It was exciting and thrilling. I felt it covered relevant problems in society like corruption and trafficking of girls by organised crime gangs. I enjoyed the banter between the police officers although I did find Ross slightly annoying. I thought it was very clever how it all came together and was very believable. I think that it concluded very well and I would definitely read the rest of them in the series . I read a lot of crime and this didn’t disappoint.
