All round fantastic read! I was a little concerned about the topic of underage sex trafficking but Neil Lancaster covered this sensitive area well. There were some awful scenes painted however the prostitution was covered in a less descriptive way.
I really enjoyed reading this book, despite guessing reasonably early into the book who was the main “whodunit person” I still could not stop turning that page to read just one more chapter, it was definitely a major page turner and having nice short chapters really helps, albeit keeping me reading into the early hours.
I was also slightly concerned that I had not read the previous books in the series however this did not matter, I am very keen to read the others now and see what brought this closed group together.
The characters were really well developed and continued to develop right to the end, I found the banter between then all quite amusing and I would think fairly realistic when working in such horrendous circumstances. Couple of negatives though, I thought the swearing from Ross was a little much at times even if it could be quite accurate, the other would be the fact that the Albanian gangster bounced between being named Alban or by his last name, I just always read it as Alban as I could pronounce that but it would have been good to stick to one or the other.

I would certainly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a police procedural or a whodunit genre.
